Improved lighting does not mean greater energy consumption. At IFI we believe that by combining proper lighting design with new technologies we can create the most effective and yet least energy-consuming lighting environment.

The selection of the light sources as well as their positions, and the systems for managing these are a first step in creating a lighting environment that is inspiring to its users, while also protecting our planet.
In order to minimize energy consumption and promote sustainability IFI is a pioneer in the study and application of lighting using LED sources.

LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes)
are the most environmentally responsible lighting solution, as they consume approximately one tenth of the energy of common incandescent light bulbs, while providing four-times greater output. They are more energy efficient even than economy (compact fluorescent) light bulbs and do not contain any dangerous chemicals, such as mercury. At the hands of a lighting specialist, such as IFI, LEDs have a series of additional advantages, which make them ideal for all architectural lighting applications: they are small in size, flexible to use, have zero maintenance cost and low temperature.
Each 50 Watt light bulb that is replaced by LEDs provides a decrease of carbon dioxide emissions that is greater than 1,800 kilograms (throughout the lifespan of a light bulb). This greatly reduces our carbon footprint, as well as our energy consumption.

Energy efficient. Environmentally responsible. Quality lighting.

This is the IFI Eco-Initiative. We provide lighting that improves people's lives… and have a significant positive impact on the environment and the future of our planet. Being "green" is something that should concern us all. This is the only way we can lessen our impact on the environment. With measurable goals and with results. Project by project.
